Hello blogosphere! I am in you! Today is a day for milestones, not the least of which is this blog’s first post. There is another big reason to celebrate, though. After five years of karate, tonight my little ninja earned her brown belt. Brown belt is the first step of the final leg toward black belt, and it marks a change in expectations for the student. From here on out, she’ll be expected to volunteer her time to help teach beginners, she’ll learn advanced forms and techniques, and she’ll train with black belts and other brown belts in preparation for her black belt test. Here she is after receiving her belt and attendance awards for the session:
Now, a bit about this blog. A few folks have told me I should write a blog, so I decided to take up the challenge. I have a domain name and everything, which I’ll eventually figure out how to attach to this WordPress page. In the weeks and months ahead, I’ll share tales of motherhood and madness, as well as crafts, contests, cute pictures, product reviews, and other cool stuff. My husband, daughter, mom, and mother-in-law have also volunteered to write occasional posts, so it’ll be a family affair. Thanks for joining me for this first milestone. See you next time!
